The Difference Between Transgender and Transsexual Women

Transgender and transsexual are commonly confused terms that both refer to gender identity. Transgender is a broader, more inclusive category that includes all individuals who do not identify with the gender that corresponds to the sex they were assigned at birth. Transsexual is a more narrow category that includes individuals who desire to physically transition to the sex that corresponds with the gender with which they identify. (Note that the word gender is usually used to refer to social and cultural roles, while sex refers to physical attributes.) All transsexual persons are transgender. However, not all transgender persons are transsexual. Transgender women are sometimes referred to as trans women. Some may also be known as male-to-female transsexuals, MTFs, transsexual women, transgirls, or tgirls.  The term transsexual  originated as a medical term  and is  sometimes considered pejorative. It is always best to ask a person which term is preferred. Transgender vs. Transsexual   Although they both refer to gender identity, transgender and transsexual are terms with distinct meanings. That they are often used interchangeably has led to some confusion. In most cases, a transgender woman is a woman who was designated (also commonly referred to as assigned) male at birth but who identifies as a woman. Some transgender women may use the term AMAB (assigned male at birth) in describing their identity. She may take steps to transition, but these steps do not necessarily involve surgery or physical alterations. She may dress as a woman, refer to herself as a woman, or use a feminine name. (Note that some trans men may use the term AFAB, or assigned female at birth.) Not all transgender persons, however, identify with the man/woman, masculine/feminine binary. Some identify as gender nonconforming, nonbinary, genderqueer, androgynous, or third gender. For this reason, it is important never to assume that a transgender person identifies with a particular gender nor to assume what pronouns a person uses. Transitioning A transsexual woman is one who desires to physically transition to the sex that corresponds with the gender with which she identifies. Transitioning often includes taking hormones to suppress the physical characteristics of her assigned gender. Many transsexual women in the U.S. take hormone supplements, which can promote breast growth, change vocal pitch, and contribute in other ways to a more traditionally feminine appearance.  A transsexual might  even undergo gender reassignment surgery (also referred to as gender confirmation surgery or gender affirming surgery), where the anatomical features of the gender and sex assigned at birth are physically altered or removed. Strictly speaking, theres no such thing as a sex change operation. A woman can elect to have cosmetic surgeries done to alter her physical appearance to match conventional norms associated with the gender with which she identifies, but anyone can have these procedures done, regardless of their gender identity. These surgeries are not limited to transsexual people. Gender Identity vs. Sexual Orientation Gender identity is often confused with sexual orientation. The latter, however, refers only to a persons enduring emotional, romantic or sexual attraction to other people and is not related to gender identity. A transgender woman, for example, may be attracted to women, men, both, or neither and this orientation has no bearing on her gender identity. She may identify as gay or lesbian, straight, bisexual, asexual, or may not name her orientation at all. Transgender vs. Transvestite Transgender women are  often incorrectly identified as transvestites. A transvestite, however, is an individual who wears clothing primarily associated with  the gender with whom he or she does not identify. A man may prefer to dress as a woman, but this does not make him transgender if he does not identify as a woman.

They tell you that you should demonstrate extensive knowledge in your chosen topic areas and relevant research methods but do little to explain what that actually looks like or give you a structure to follow. Fortunately our site are able to help shed some light on this difficult subject and help you to walk away with the lion’s share of the marks and get the highest grades: 1) Know your Aims Before you start writing, you need to be clear on what a top quality dissertation requires: clear objectives and aims; tightly structured writing; and grammatically and syntactically correct language. The research writing must show strong evidence of critical and creative thinking and a readiness to consider the limitations of the theory applied within the research – examiners don’t want you to agree with all the existing arguments, nor do they want you to disagree; you need to provide a measure argument that reasonably handles the evidence. The introduction of your dissertation is the ideal time to clearly provide the aims and objectives of the study for the examiner to see; for example, you could use a sentence like â€Å"the aim of this research is to find a positioning of The Body Shop brand within the consumer’s mind.† 2) The importance of Research A First class dissertation must show a real focus on the issues that are relevant to your area of study, and combine the theory and practice together with a clear statement of the problems to be researched. Therefore good dissertation writing must contain an analysis of relevant theories and models based on the demonstrably systematic and in-depth literature search. Make sure you go that extra mile and ensure that your resources are current and relevant – DON’T recycle outdated texts and ideas. Show your examiner that you have a keen and current view of the issues you are discussing. Good sources for literature include (but aren’t limited to) textbooks, journal articles, newspapers and the news. 3) Work it through For many degrees it is a requirement that 1st-class thesis writing should contain high quality data research. If this is true of your dissertation then make sure you adopt a critical survey approach; for example, if you are using questionnaires, you should adopt SPSS to analyse the data. When producing descriptive thesis writing, remember that it should be critical. This does not mean that it has to be negative. It is, rather, a matter of adopting a questioning approach and trying to explain the reasons why things are as they are. It is important to show the significance of your argument and to demonstrate, interpret and explain as fully as possible why this is. 4) Don’t overlook the referencing Having polished references is a key part of a dissertation; after all, if you want the highest grades your work has to be near-publishable standards. She portrays her sense of felicity as something non monstrumental or graniose, but instead rather simple. His married woman Rezia must invariably take him off from his world and have him concentrate on things non affecting war or him thought of it. Septimus sees beauty in little exanimate things that surround him. Beauty can be seen as a plane that writes in the sky, deciphered but which signifies beauty. Subconsciously, he reveals his demand to be nurtured, but he pulls off from society when he falls ailment and has problem covering with world. Both Septimus and Clarissa are really similar in this mode. Death is perceived as rebelliousness by both characters. Clarissa expresses her belief in reincarnation. Thinking of Septimus? s decease, Clarissa remembers believing before a party, ? If it were to now decease, ? twere now to be most happy? ( Woolf 184 ) . She felt if she was to decease, it was a good point in her life to decease. As for Septimus, he knows of war, decease, and devastation ; he knows that society will non alter and that he can non populate in a universe that can be so compressing. Septimus takes a spring of religion and ends all of his agony in this unforgiving universe ; individualism, Septimus and Clarissa recede into the deepnesss of normalcy. Clarissa accepts this recession, from holding a dream to being simply Mrs. Dalloway. However, he does non, this bottleneck and uniformity propels him out of his sleeping room window to decease. Although Clarissa and Septimus differ in their response to this uniformity, the truth remains that they are both disgruntled. Their dissatisfaction emanates from Kramer 3 their influence from their environing society. Many people wear? t understand what Septimus is traveling through, so they tend to believe severely of him. The physicians he is under attention from are far from assisting and more purpose on roll uping for their service payment. Septimus is non even happy with himself, allow alone his society. He had guilt because he could non experience any longer, non even for his married woman. ? His married woman was shouting, and he felt nil ; merely each clip she sobbed in this profound, this silent, this hopeless manner, he descended another measure into the cavity? ( Woolf 91 ) . With Clarissa, the lone influence of society on her are the parties she has. Though the parties bring felicity to her, after they are over it is back to her normal life that is stale. An of import affair to Clarissa is to be societal with of import people. When her hubby is invited to a brunch with Mrs. Bruton and she is non, she feels disappointed that she was non con sidered or non accepted by a wealthier individual. Though Clarissa and Septimus are non of the same wealth or backround, both characters have a really similar prospective about things around them. Septimus believes decease is an reply to his changeless anguish from the physicians and society. Clarissa relates to his self-destruction as a manner for him to eventually pass on to everyone, particularly his two physicians. Neither Dr. Holmes nor Sir William could authorise his life any longer with their false interventions. In everything that has happened in one twenty-four hours, the cardinal connexion between Septimus and Clarissa was his decease and the English society that both people were subjected to.

MICKEY D’s Some say working at McDonald’s is an easy, mediocre, â€Å"Can’t do no better,† low-life, minimum wage job. Frankly, I don’t disagree. However, not everyone can start off an owner or general manager of McDonald’s. Not everyone can start off a school principal or a schoolteacher, for that matter. Nevertheless, McDonald’s was the first job I ever had. I even became good at flippin’ burgers, droppin’ fries, McNuggets, original and Cajun chicken patties. In addition, I believe, if the only job you can get is a McDonald’s job then minimum wage is better than no wage at all. Therefore, since I must retain this job in order to have money and not be miserable, I might as well have fun while I’m there. My McDonald’s saga started when I moved to Decatur, Illinois, about three years ago. I got an offer to play the organ at a church in Decatur. This church was similar to a church I went to in California. This church appreciated my music so much that they were going to take care of my every need while I was playing at this church. Now, I’m living in Cairo, Il, it’s summertime, I’m in high school, I don’t want to go to the school I’m forced to attend, the church I play for doesn’t appreciate my efforts to be the finest musician they’ve ever had, I have none of my own means of transportation, and I’m broke. So what do you think I said when I was offered to move to a bigger city; better school districts, better churches to attend; better stores to shop at, and a lot more job opportunities to seek out? I quickly said okay. I packed my bags as fast as a humming birds heart rate. Moreover, I was glad just to be moving out of my mom’s house. Psychology Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words - 8

Psychology - Essay Example In his book ‘The Interpretation of Dreams’, Sigmund Freud argued that the foundation of all dream content is the fulfillment of wishes, conscious or not. The theory explains that the schism between ego and id leads to "censorship" of dreams. The unconscious would "like" to depict the wish fulfilled wholesale, but the preconscious cannot allow it — the wish (or wishes) within a dream is thus disguised, and, as Freud argues, only an understanding of the structure of the dream-work can explain the dream. In every dream in which he attempts to do so, he is able to establish a multitude of wishes on a variety of levels — conscious wishes for the immediate future. (Freud, 59) According to Freud, our dreams are important and meaningful in understanding the causes of our problems, hidden issues, and painful issues we cant face during wakefulness. Freud identified two types of content in our dreams; latent content and manifest content. Manifest content is all the parts of the dream that we remember (the actual content). Its not the stuff we associate with our dreams, but the actual story lines of the dreams. This is regarded as Manifest Content. On the contrary, dreams have two types of content, each of which contains different meanings to the dreams. One of these type of content is latent content, which is the underlying, more hidden, but true meaning of a dream (as opposed to the manifest content). Freud believed that the latent content was somehow censored by the subconscious which was a way to protect us from the real meanings of the dreams. This was necessary because the dream content may be difficult for people to deal with, so people disguise the rea l meaning. However, Freud believed that when people were in conflict, if he could uncover or get to the latent content, then he could identify the persons problem and resolve their conflict. This is regarded as Latent Content. Similarly, the sexual motivator is that part of the

Process management is important in that it will bring into optimizing the software that is already in place. It is important to know the times that the software needs to be optimized. To have this process rightly in place and working effectively, there should be an automated way in which can be undertaken. This paper will suggest the software that can be designed to help in assessing the various information systems and suggest process improvement of the software. Log management software One software that can be put in place is that of managing the various logs that are found in a given information system. Logs are the small transactions and details that usually take place in an information system. There is a need to undertake a management process where the logs are managed. This will help to know the requirements that should be improved in case there needs to be some improvement. Before a process is improv ed, there is a need to understand the internal workings of the software that should be improved. The log management software will manage, among other things, the frequency of use of some transactions in the software, the bugs that are common with the use of certain transactions. There is a need to record the logs and the requirements to improve and work on a solution to eradicate these errors. Another issue that should be looked into automatically is the processes that keep on clashing in the system. He internal working of the process in an information system should be looked into and improved on. These are the functions that the information system will work to improve. It is also important to understand the errors that are commo n in particular processes and the ones that interact with other processes. This software will be used, together with the logging software, to analyze the cause of the errors that are commonly met while working on the various software in the system. This will help have detailed facts about the errors that are experienced which will help the process improvement developers to understand what they are to improve and the way in which this can be achieved. With the various errors being experienced in software, the improvement and eradication of these errors is normally built on detailed understanding of eh software that is causing the errors. It is important to have the right information about these errors (Haug, Olsen, Bergman, 2001). Process optimization software This software will be used in suggesting the best ways in which the software will be optimized. As the software is used every day, there will come a time where the processes will be optimized. What the software will do is monit or the interaction of the various modules and processes that are running in the software and generate a report about the software which interacts most often. It will also look at the tasks that will be undertaken and processed by more than one process. This information will be used by the developers while they are on the quest to improve on the working on the various processes (Oktaba, 2008). After the developers get this information, they will be in a position to have a way forward into working on the interaction of the software processes so that they can work effectively on the various tasks that require multiple processes. Moreover, the staff also cannot complete their work on time when they were addicted by the all relaxing facility. Next the management theory has apply in the Google Inc is Theory Y by Douglas McGregor. The Theory Y can be defined as an idea that shows the positive view of the worker and assumes employees may be ambitious and self-motivated and exercise self-control. It also implies the optimistic management theory that employees are generally creative and view work as fulfilling. Actually in the Google Inc, they offer a creative and participative atmosphere that to stimulate employees to be productive in achieving the organizations goals. The Google Inc. performs this Theory Y because their tasks tend to more flexible and innovative. Besides, their company always needs the new concept and idea to support their current situation on the world and work hard to keep the new technology going. For example, Google Inc. is using this Theory Y as their leadership style and less supervise their employees. In this situation, it is very work to the Google Inc. and always achieves the goal set by them. The Theory Y also brings some advantages to the Google Inc. First of the advantage is employee can easy to get the new idea. This is because they can play hard and get rest at their workplace and those can getting the new inspiration when they are enjoy the game or relaxing. In this case, a Googles manager has mention that idea does not come always when you sit at your desk. So, it is very effective to Google Incs worker. Next of the advantages is the staff has ability to make a good decisions. This is because the manage less to supervise them and not under pressure or micromanage, it may let the employee can do their best and ability to solve the problem them face by themselves. On another hand, the Theory Y used by the Google Inc has disadvantages too. The disadvantages is it may cause some task cannot complete on time. This is because no all the worker will be ambitious and self-motivated so it will affect the task cannot going on smoothly. In this case, it will also let the company loss the time and the money. According to Ghee Soon Lin, Robert L. Mathis and John H. Jackson (2010), Recruiting is the process of generating a pool of qualified applicants for organizational jobs. However, recruiting is also about to finding qualified applicants, a task that often requires much more than just running an ad in a newspaper. The recruiting can just a set of function involve coordinating internal openings, handling the flow of candidates data, dealing with regulatory reporting, and moving candidates through the system. Google Inc. tends to use the external recruitment source compare with internal recruitment source. External recruitment is when the business looks to fill the vacancy from any suitable applicant outside the business. Internal recruitment is when the business looks to fill the vacancy from within its existing workforce. This is because the Google Inc. always set up a new offices around the world and they need more talents work in their company. Actually, the Google Inc set up over 70 offices in more than 40 countries currently. For the external recruiting, Google Inc has expanded to university universe nowadays. Google Inc is also recruiting college grads from schools other than the usual suspects such as Stanford, Carnegie Mellon and MIT. Colleges such as the University of Victoria in Canada and Emory University in Atlanta rarely saw Google recruiters in the past. But now it is more common. The company is spreading its recruiters out among more schools, rather than concentrating them at the most elite universities. The pro for the external recruitment is it will bring fresh employees and talents. By using the external recruitment, Google Inc will be able to get the new talent and ideas which are beneficial to their companys development and growth. Besides, external vacancies create opportunities to find more high qualifications and experienced staffs which are needed in the team. The diversity of employees helps to form a stronger team and they are able to work more effective. Subsequently, it will stimulate growth and advancement of Google Inc. In contrast, the disadvantage of the external recruiting is having higher cost compared internal recruiting. Hiring externally is costly as the company need to spend a lot of money on the aspect of advertising, recruiting and interviewing. Besides, it is also time consuming. This is because the company need to hire the expert people which not original in the part of the organization. To ensure not to hire the wrong people, the company needs to carry out interviewing process. This process is time consuming and costly to the company as they need to pay at a high range of salary to hire the expert people. Next, the Google Inc also using the AMO method and which is the short form of Ability, Motivation and Opportunity. This AMO method is using to measure the performance of the employee in the Google Inc. The meaning of the ability refers to that talent enable to complete the specific job or task. Next is the motivation, it defined as a set of energetic forces that originates both within and outside an employee, initiates work-related effort, and determines its direction, intensity, and persistence. The last one is the opportunity is the chance of the employee to get into a higher position. SECTION 3: FINDINGS The unlimited sick leave that Google management team offered may become a problem. The person who takes leave may cause problems to his/hers colleague as they have to increase their work amount by helper for his/hers work and the productivity will also reduce during the time they are on leave. According to the Two Factor Theory, it doesnt brings only job satisfaction which occurs on the applier of sick leave. It also brings job dissatisfaction which occurs on the appliers colleague. Google workforce management applies the Theory Y by Douglas McGregor as their leadership style. Theory Y is an idea that managerial assumes all staffs is ambitious and self-motivated.  It may neglect those workers those are not that ambitious and self-motivated. Those person may have potential to adapt with Theory X that may stimulate their potential. Theory X is theory which stated that workers inherently dislike and avoid work and must be driven to it. Google also suggested a method, AMO which brings meaning Ability and Skills, Motivation and Opportunity to involve. Due to large amount of staff with talent, those knowledgeable workers with ability and skills feel that they are not recognized and valued as the company matures. The continuity of recruiting in new knowledge workers causes those current knowledge workers feel less motivated and the competition among colleague may become stronger. The other problem that occurs due to large amount of staffs, some workers feels that they have not given enough opportunity and job satisfaction are not delivered. OCB (Organizational Citizen Behavior) is defined as the individuals behavior that is discretionary, not directly or explicitly recognized by the formal reward system and that in the aggregate promotes the effective functioning of the organization. The problem that made by AMO may affect OCB of the employees. Necessity training and recruitment have to apply on the new hired employees in order to make them to have relevant knowledge about their job and adapt with the job. But it may consume a period of time for their training. SECTION 4: RECOMMENDATION There is some ways recommended to improve the company: It is good that Google applied the Theory Y as their leadership style but there are some workers not that ambitious and self-motivated. Google can also apply Theory X as well. We can know that Theory X can be defines as the theory which is stated that workers inherently dislike and avoid work and must be driven to it. Manager can tries to motivate the workers through fear and scold and maintain the tight control over the workers as well. Other than that, manager should rewards the workers if they achieved the goals while manager should punishes them if they done any mistakes. With this principle, these Theory X workers can stimulate their very own potential and of course, it will increase company productivity. Google should also apply one of the 4 principles of science by Taylor (Kinichi, A, 2011) which is give training and rewards to workers based on their performance. Management should reward their workers after they have achieved a certain goal and the rewards can be in the terms of extrinsic and intrinsic rewards. By this way, workers will feel motivated and will work harder to achieve another goal to gain another reward. Besides, management also needs to give their workers some free suitable training to them. These trainings not only can give their workers more experiences and have a chance to promote, but also can let them sure that the management needs them. Besides that, because there is continuity of recruiting in new knowledge workers in Google, the current knowledge workers feel less motivated. It is because they always thought that they work hard for the company for nothing. To prevent it, Google can apply the principle that suggested by Mayo which is Hawthorne effect (Kinichi, A., 2011). Management should always take more attention to the workers so that they will work harder for the company. Manager can take attention on the workers by give rewards and applauses when they achieve anything good and the targets that he or she targeted. Dr. Motivation, Dave Worman (n.d.) found that the manager do not give enough attention on the workers it is because they do not get enough attention from the top management too. To change and prevent this situation occur, attentions should be taken start from the top management. We can know that Google always recruiting new workers outside of the company. This is called as external recruitment. This recruitment can be good as the company can have specialized knowledge workers but this recruitment will consume more time and expensive. Besides, it is very high risk because the company even does not know the person that they recruited. So the better way is Google should apply internal recruitment. This recruitment not only saves time but has fewer risks. It is because internal candidates are more familiar with the organization. Besides, Google no needs to spend their time to train the new candidates, advertise, and interview the newbie. SECTION 5: CONCLUSION Google Company is an American multinational corporation. Google company also provides Internet-related products and services, including software, internet search, advertising technologies, and cloud computing. The Company also provides online productivity software including social networking, email and an office suite. Google products develop to the desktop as well, with organizing and editing photos, instants messaging and applications for web browsing. Google Inc. is using this two factor theory concept which is hygiene factors and motivation factors in their company and to make sure the employee enjoy the working environment during their working time. The Google Inc. has provided an awesome working place and benefits to their staff and the benefits of the Google Inc. are among the best in the world. For example, Google Inc. has prepared fun stuff around the office and prepares the gourmet food as free for their staffs. Google Inc. through two factor theory may bring some advantages to their company. First of the advantages is the employees become more efficiency and creative because Google Inc. create a fantastic working environment to their employees. The next the advantage is to prevent the staff resign because hiring a new staff and training them need a lot of time. However, two factor theory that performed by Google Inc. have disadvantages. First of all, it has waste the money of the Google Inc. Next the management theory has apply in the Google Inc. is Theory Y. The Google Inc. performs this Theory Y because their tasks tend to more flexible and innovative. The Theory Y also brings some advantages to the Google Inc. First of the advantage is employee can easy to get the new idea. Next of the advantages is the staff has ability to make a good decisions. On another hand, the Theory Y used by the Google Inc. has disadvantages too. The disadvantages is it may cause some task cannot complete on time. Google Inc. tends to use the external recruitment source compare with internal recruitment source. The pro for the external recruitment is it will bring fresh employees and talents. In contrast, the con of the external recruiting is having higher cost compared internal recruiting.
